How to Create Recovery Media for Windows 10 or 8
Making a backup of your computer is always useful just in case something happens to your computer.
Windows 8 and 10 can create a recovery drive or repair disc, which will allow you to easily restore your Windows operating system to its original state.
Note: 64-bit backups cannot be used to restore 32-bit and vice versa.
What you need is:
1. For recovery drive: USB flash drive with at least 8GB space
2. For repair disc: CD / DVD disk drive and disc

How to Create a USB Recovery Drive
1. Type “recovery drive” in the start menu then click the option that appears.

2. Or you can also right-click on the start menu, then select "control panel", select "Recovery", then select "Create a recovery drive".

3. Then select “Yes” when prompted to confirm.
4. A windows recovery drive will appear. Click "next". Prepare your USB Drive with 8GB of space.

5. Then you will see a list of available devices. Choose the right device as the recovery drive, as it will be fully formatted before turning into a bootable drive.
6. Then continue the process, it will roughly take about 10-20 minutes for the whole process. Now you will see the USB flash drive appear as 'RECOVERY' in your file explorer.
How to Make a Repair Disc
1. Type “Backup and Restore (Windows 7)” in the start menu then click the option that appears.

3. The process is almost the same as above, insert your disc and click 'Create disc'. After the process is complete you can rename your disk with a label.
